Known issues on the 2007 F-750. The federal record carries a single recall. Trucks built with Dana rear axles may have a housing made from steel thinner than specified, which can fatigue and crack in normal use and lead to a wheel end locking up or separating from the truck. Owners have filed two complaints with NHTSA, one against the power train and one against the service brakes, which is the same corner of the truck. Rear axle service, driveline procedures and brake specifications are the sections those reports lead to.
ON CERTAIN TRUCKS BUILT WITH DANA REAR AXLES, THE REAR AXLE MAY HAVE A HOUSING THAT WAS BUILT USING STEEL THAT WAS THINNER THAN SPECIFIED.
