Known issues on the 2006 Crown Victoria. Three recalls are on federal record for this year, two of them on the steering column. An upper intermediate shaft that was serviced incorrectly can separate, and a lower column bearing on cars from certain states can come apart, either way costing steering control; the third involves aftermarket fuel filters whose quick connectors may not seat and can spill fuel. Owners have filed 53 complaints with NHTSA, and steering accounts for 27 of them, with vehicle speed control at eight and the air bags at five.
