This factory service and repair manual for the 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier documents a two-engine, two-body car whose engines are both 2.2L inline-fours of 134 cubic inches, one a twin-cam and the other an overhead-valve design, each offered on gasoline or as a bi-fuel gasoline and LPG installation. Known issues on the 2003 Cavalier. Two recalls are on the federal record. One covers the rear lamps: poor contact between bulb and socket can shut down the stop, turn and tail functions altogether, so following drivers get no warning that the car is braking or turning. The other concerns a replacement intermediate steering shaft whose weld can fail and take the steering with it. Complaints are heavy at 705 and unusually concentrated, with 366 on the fuel system, ahead of 88 electrical and 50 on exterior lighting. Fuel delivery testing, lamp socket service and lighting circuit diagrams are all part of this manual.
