2000 Chevrolet Cavalier Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual for the 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier splits its engine coverage two ways. Known issues on the 2000 Cavalier. Seven recalls are on the federal record. One is specific to the bi-fuel cars, whose instrument panel lamps stay at full brightness with no way to dim them, making it harder to see out at night. Another covers the ignition switch, which can melt inside under a prolonged crank and then start a fire in the column. A third involves a replacement fuel pressure regulator missing its sealing ring, so gasoline can escape. Four more are replacement lamps and a steering shaft. Owners have logged 338 complaints, 50 electrical, 50 on engine cooling and 44 on the brakes.
