1995 Chevrolet Cavalier Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier covers a car with no six-cylinder option. Three inline-fours are documented, all naturally aspirated and all on gasoline: a 2.2L overhead-valve unit of 134 cubic inches, a 2.3L twin-cam of 138 cubic inches and a 2.4L twin-cam of 146 cubic inches. Sedan, coupe and convertible bodies were offered as Base, LS and Z24. The two overhead-cam engines bring their own timing, valve and cylinder head procedures, which are kept separate from the pushrod engine's throughout the book.

Known issues on the 1995 Cavalier. Eight recalls are on the federal record. One covers the ignition switch: holding the key at start too long drives enough current through it to melt internal parts, and a damaged switch can set the steering column alight after the key is out. Another has welds missing from the front lower control arms, so the bushing sleeve can pull free. A third notes welds omitted from the body lock pillar, reducing occupant protection in a crash. Five more concern replacement lamps without amber side reflectors and a steering shaft whose weld can fail. Complaints total 356, led by 94 on engine cooling.
SOME WELDS WERE OMITTED FROM THE BODY LOCK PILLAR, OR "B" PILLAR. THIS DOES NOT COMPLY WITH FMVSS NO.208, "OCCUPANT CRASH PROTECTION."
