1993 Chevrolet Cavalier Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 1993 Chevrolet Cavalier is arranged around three gasoline engines and one chassis. The engines are a naturally aspirated 2.8L overhead-valve V6 of 173 cubic inches, a naturally aspirated 2.2L overhead-valve inline-four of 134 cubic inches and a naturally aspirated 3.1L overhead-valve V6 of 189 cubic inches; the chassis appears as sedan, convertible, coupe and wagon in Base, RS, VL and Z24 trim. Known issues on the 1993 Cavalier. Two entries sit on the federal record. One covers brake hoses built to the wrong specification, which can reduce braking effectiveness or make the car pull unevenly under the pedal. The other concerns a horn pad that was not retained firmly enough in the steering wheel: it can come loose, drop between the spokes and wedge against the turn signal lever, damaging the lever and the horn wiring. Owners have logged 210 complaints, 59 on the service brakes, 47 on the engine and cooling system and 26 electrical; hose replacement, steering wheel service and cooling diagnostics are all covered.
