The first covers the fuel filler pipe and cap: the plastic coating on the fuel filler and breather pipes can be damaged, letting salt water reach the steel underneath and corrode it through, which allows gasoline fumes and fuel to leak and creates a fire risk near any ignition source. The second covers the front underhood wiring: the wire in the battery charging circuit cannot handle the maximum current the alternator draws, so under repeated high electrical load heat builds up at the connector terminal, melting the wire harness insulation and potentially discharging the battery. I CONTACTED THE LOCAL HONDA DEALER ABOUT SAID PART AS IT IS UNDER RECALL, HOWEVER HE STATED THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE IT REPLACED. NO SAFETY DEFECT LISTED IN THE SUMMARY. *AK
BOTH DRIVER'S SIDE AND PASSENGER'S SIDE SHOULDER BELTS ARE TOO SHORT, CAUSING THE SHOULDER BELTS TO FIT VERY TIGHTLY. SHOULDER PORTION IS UNCOMFORTABLE AND IMPOSSIBLE TO WEAR. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED
THE SEATBELTS SIMPLY DON'T FIT ACROSS MY BODY WITHOUT CHOKING ME AND ARE VERY DIFFICULT TO SNAP INTO POSITION AND I AM MY HUSBAND ARE NOT LARGE PEOPLE.
