Known issues on the 2023 2500. There are 8 recalls recorded for the 2023 2500. On certain trucks, a poorly welded transmission control unit could let fluid seep onto electrical parts, cutting drive power or the park function; dealers fitted a new valve body and control unit. Certain trucks had powertrain software that could let speed exceed the tires' speed rating, fixed by a software update. On certain diesel trucks, the intake heater grid relay could short and cause a fire with the ignition on or off, and owners were told to park outside until the repair.
