2021 Ram 2500 Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 2021 2500. Two of the 8 recalls naming the 2021 2500 concern the diesel's intake heater grid relay, and both came with park-outside advice. On certain trucks with the diesel, a short in that relay could start an engine-bay fire whether the ignition was on or off, so owners were told to park outside, away from buildings, until it was repaired. On certain trucks, a faulty steering column control module could keep the driver air bag from deploying as intended. Certain trucks could also leak transmission fluid from the dipstick tube under heat and pressure. Of 107 complaints, the leaders are the electrical system (35), engine (26) and power train (25).
