2014 Ram 2500 Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual for the 2014 Ram 2500 lists a 6.4L overhead-valve V8 on gasoline among its three engines, joined by the 5.7L overhead-valve V8 for CNG or gasoline and the turbocharged 6.7L inline-six diesel. Known issues on the 2014 2500. Among the 13 recalls NHTSA filed on the 2014 2500 are campaigns on the steering linkage and on cruise control. On certain trucks, the jam nut on the outer steering linkage could back off and let one end of the drag link come free, taking away steering control; dealers replaced the drag link or welded the nut in place. On certain trucks, a short circuit in the wiring while cruise control was engaged could stop the brake pedal or switch from turning it off, fixed with a powertrain software update.
