2017 Ram 2500 Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 2017 2500. The 2017 2500 has 10 recalls on the federal record. On certain trucks, the brake hydraulic control unit could fail and take the anti-lock brakes, stability control and traction control out of action; dealers replaced the unit or its motor. Certain trucks also had curtain air bag inflators that could rupture because of a production flaw. Brakes dominate the 692 complaints: service brakes 410 and hydraulic service brakes 94, followed by the electrical system (120), vehicle speed control (72) and forward collision avoidance (62); 12 complaints reported a crash.
