Known issues on the 2022 Forester. Water intrusion is the problem behind the one recall filed for the 2022 Forester. On certain 2022 Forester vehicles, a weld that falls short can let water into the inhibitor switch, and when that switch fails the reverse lights may stay dark and the rearview camera may show no image; dealers replace the switch. Owners lodged 98 complaints, led by visibility/wiper (20), forward collision avoidance (15), and the electrical system, engine and service brakes at 10 apiece.
