The federal record also shows 3 recalls. On certain 2016 Forester vehicles equipped with heated seats, the passenger occupant detection connection may loosen, deactivating the front passenger air bag while the seat is occupied. Certain 2016 Forester vehicles with the turbocharged engine, from a set production window, can crack the turbocharger air intake duct, which may stall the engine; dealers check the duct and replace it if needed.
