Certain 2013 Forester vehicles have a front seat belt whose force limiter might not operate as designed during a crash, reducing how well it holds the occupant; dealers inspect the belt assembly and, where needed, replace it. On certain 2013 Forester vehicles with a replacement mechanical-key ignition switch, a fractured spring can let the key drop to accessory and stop the engine.
