Certain 2007 Forester vehicles, if built within a set production period and originally sold or registered in certain states that salt their roads, may develop corrosion at the front lower control arm hanger brackets. Left unchecked, that corrosion can break an arm and compromise control of the vehicle, so dealers rustproof or replace the arms.
