Known issues on the 2014 Forester. Heat is behind the first of 2 recalls for the 2014 Forester: certain 2014 Forester vehicles built within a set production period received carpeted floor mats with backing that was out of specification and can curl in heat, so the driver's mat could get in the way of the pedals; the campaign covered 10,137 vehicles, and its remedy is new mats. Certain 2014 Forester vehicles can have a brake light switch that contaminants cause to malfunction, leaving the brake lights off.
