Known issues on the 2022 Escalade. Four recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the third-row seat belt buckles: an improperly formed rivet retaining the buckle to its mounting bracket can leave the belt unable to properly restrain an occupant in a crash. The second covers the daytime running lights: a software fault can keep the DRLs from deactivating when the headlights are on, producing glare that reduces visibility. The third covers the 6.2L V8 engine, where the connecting rod and/or crankshaft may carry manufacturing defects that lead to engine damage and engine failure. The fourth covers the 10-speed automatic transmission with Electronic Transmission Range Select, where the transmission control valve may fail and lock up the rear wheels.
