Rear driveshaft components that weren't properly heat-treated can fail, cutting drive power without warning. Third-row seat belts may have been entrapped or misrouted behind the seat-folding mechanism, and a deformed rivet in the third-row buckle assembly may not properly restrain an occupant in a crash. A lighting control module software error can leave the daytime running lights on with the headlights, creating glare for oncoming traffic. On diesel-equipped trucks, a transmission control valve fault can lock the rear wheels, and an incorrect fuel tank can leak in a rollover.
