Known issues on the 2020 Equinox. Four recalls attach to this model year. One involves rear brake calipers assembled with an incorrect lubricant, which swells the rubber seals and leaves the brakes dragging until the pads overheat. Another involves fuel tanks with a badly sealed seam that can leak near the filler inlet. A third involves missing bolts on the start-stop accumulator endcap, which lets transmission fluid out and can end in a loss of propulsion. Of 303 complaints, the service brakes lead at 77, then the power train at 35 and the engine at 32.
