This factory service and repair manual for the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox is built around the 3.4L overhead-valve V6 of 207 cubic inches, naturally aspirated and burning gasoline, in a four-door sport utility offered in two trims, LS and LT. With one engine there is no cross-referencing to do in the powertrain chapters, and the manual's depth shows up elsewhere, in the fuel delivery, restraint, glass and body electrical sections, each carrying its own procedures, specifications, torque values and wiring diagrams.

Known issues on the 2007 Equinox. Four recalls are recorded for the 2007 truck. One involves fuel leaking at the pump, which near an ignition source can start a fire. Another concerns the passenger sensing system in the right front seat, which may fail to switch the passenger frontal air bag on when a small adult is seated there. A third covers windshields bonded with an incorrect primer, so the glass may not stay in place in a crash. Complaints total 685, clustered on fuel and propulsion at 129, the air bags at 125 and the fuel system at 89.
