Known issues on the 2005 Equinox. One recall stands on the federal record for this model year. The ignition key park lock cable end fitting was not fully seated on the shifter during assembly, so the cable cannot adjust itself correctly and the shifter is not locked into Park when the key is pulled out. Owner complaints are far more numerous at 638, weighted toward the electrical system at 114, engine and engine cooling at 92 and the power train at 82.
