Known issues on the 2018 Maxima. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the back-up camera and display: settings can be adjusted so the rear view image no longer shows and the system holds that setting the next time the vehicle is put in reverse, increasing the risk of a crash. The second covers the ABS actuator pump: it may allow brake fluid to leak onto an internal circuit board, and a resulting electrical short raises the risk of a fire.
