Two cover the frontal passenger air bag inflator, where propellant degradation after long-term exposure can cause the inflator to rupture and send metal fragments into the cabin during a crash; a third extends this same inflator risk to replacement air bag parts installed after a theft or collision repair. Three recalls involve exterior lighting on aftermarket corner and headlamp assemblies that lack the required amber side reflectors, cutting visibility and increasing crash risk. The remaining recall covers the front lower control arm, where the mounting pin can break and cause a knocking sound, abnormal steering, and reduced control of the vehicle. ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE PIN AT THE END OF THE FRONT SUSPENSION TRANSVERSE LINK (LOWER CONTROL ARM) COULD BREAK WHERE IT IS MOUNTED TO THE FRAME.
Consequence
THIS CAN CAUSE A KNOCKING SOUND AND ABNORMAL STEERING. THIS COULD RESULT IN DIFFICULTY CONTROLLING THE VEHICLE AND INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
