Known issues on the 2017 A6. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the fuel rail: the left and right fuel rails may leak fuel, and a leak near an ignition source can increase the risk of fire. The second covers the Passenger Occupant Detection System sensor mat: stress or wear in the front passenger seat's body-sensing mat can cause the PODS control module to malfunction, so the front passenger air bag may not deploy properly in a crash. The third covers the seat belt pretensioners, which may not activate properly, raising the risk of injury if the air bags or pretensioners fail to function correctly in a crash. Remedy
