Known issues on the 2015 A6. Four recalls are on federal record for this model year. Two concern the electric coolant pump on 2.0L Turbo FSI engines: it can become blocked with cooling-system debris or short-circuit from internal moisture, either of which raises the risk of overheating and fire. A third covers the auxiliary heater electrical connector, which if incorrectly inserted can build up extra resistance and overheat, also a fire risk. The fourth covers the Passenger Occupant Detection System: stress or wear on the front passenger seat's body-sensing mat can cause the PODS control module to malfunction, so the front passenger air bag may not deploy properly in a crash.
