2016 GMC Sierra Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 2016 GMC Sierra covers three trims, All Terrain, Denali and SLE, in crew cab and standard cab bodies. Two naturally aspirated overhead-valve V8s are listed, the 325-cubic-inch 5.3L and the 376-cubic-inch 6.2L, each available on gasoline or flex fuel. Because calibration and fuel hardware differ between those two forms, the diagnostics, specifications and torque values in this manual are kept separate wherever separation is needed.

Known issues on the 2016 Sierra. Seven recalls are recorded. Front upper control arms were built with inadequate welds near the bushing, and a weld failure could let the arm come away from the bushing and compromise the steering. Roof-rail air bag inflators could lose an end cap or rupture, releasing compressed gas into the cabin. Brake booster vacuum could also decay as the pump wore, raising pedal effort. Complaints number only 47 here, 10 on the power train, 7 on service brakes and 6 on steering, but suspension, brake and restraint procedures still carry the weight.
