Known issues on the 2008 Sierra. The federal record carries two recalls for this year, both aimed at the heated washer fluid system. A short circuit on the washer fluid heater's printed circuit board could disturb other electrical features, produce an odor, or generate smoke and raise the risk of fire; separately, the heated washer module was found capable of igniting on its own. Complaint volume runs to 471, with 269 of those against the air bags, 49 against the electrical system and 27 against the structure. Restraint diagnostics and body wiring are the areas worth reading first.
