Known issues on the 2009 Yukon XL 2500. Of the five recalls on the federal record, three concern frontal passenger airbag inflators that can rupture during deployment and scatter sharp metal inside the vehicle. A fourth covers a heated washer fluid module capable of igniting after an internal short. The fifth concerns a fuel system control module whose seal could separate from the housing and admit water, shorting the circuit and leaving the engine hard to start, stalling or dead. NHTSA logs 212 complaints, 86 on the airbags, 26 on the structure and 15 on electrical faults, and every one of those systems is documented here.
