Known issues on the 2008 Yukon XL 2500. The federal record holds four recalls, split between restraints and electrical. On the restraint side, frontal passenger airbag inflators can burst on deployment and throw metal fragments at the people in front of them. On the electrical side, a heated washer fluid module can short at its printed circuit board and begin to smoke or burn. Owner complaints run to 411, with 189 on the airbags, 55 on the electrical system and 32 on the structure.
