Known issues on the 2008 Sierra 2500 HD. Two recalls are on the federal record, and both point at the same option. Trucks fitted with a heated washer fluid system could short circuit on the washer heater circuit board, which can make other electrical features misbehave and produce odor or smoke; a later action found the heated washer module itself could ignite. Owner complaints run to 471, a heavy 269 of them on air bags, then the electrical system and the structure.
