Three cabs are covered, a 4-door crew cab pickup, a 4-door extended cab pickup and a 2-door standard cab pickup, in SLE, SLT or WT trim. Procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics follow each engine and body through the manual.

Known issues on the 2007 Sierra 2500 HD. Three recalls are on the federal record. Two of them concern the passenger frontal air bag inflator, which can rupture as its propellant degrades and throw metal fragments into the cabin during deployment. The third concerns trucks with an auxiliary battery, where too much current drawn through the trailer harness can melt a fusible link, damage the wiring conduit around it and raise a fire risk. Owners have filed 83 complaints, 46 of them on air bags, with small groups on service brakes and the electrical system. Restraint system and wiring diagnostics, with the harness routing behind them, are covered here.
