2006 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 2006 Sierra 2500 HD. Six recalls stand on the federal record for this year. A power steering hose built off specification can fracture during full-lock steering while braking, costing assist at both the wheel and, on hydro-boost trucks, the pedal. On the 8.1L V8, a fuel rail pulse damper retainer clip can fracture and let the damper loosen, which allows fuel to leak. Two more involve tire and rim information printed incorrectly on the door label, which can lead to the wrong wheel or the wrong inflation. Of 279 owner complaints, 112 concern service brakes.
