Known issues on the 2004 Savana 1500. Seven recalls are on the federal record. The hydraulic brake booster's pressure accumulator can crack and separate from the assembly during normal operation. A transmission shift cable can come apart, so the lever position and the indicator no longer agree and the van may move in a direction the driver did not choose. Wiring for the optional rear climate system can overheat and start a fire. Eighteen owner complaints are logged, four on the service brakes and two each on the fuel system and the tires, all areas this manual diagnoses.
