This factory service and repair manual for the 2002 GMC Savana 1500 answers to three gasoline engines: a 5.0L V8, a 5.7L V8 and a 4.3L V6, every one of them an overhead-valve design breathing without forced induction. The van they went into came two ways, a standard-length cargo body and a standard-length passenger body, each with three doors, in Base or SLT trim. Known issues on the 2002 Savana 1500. Owner complaints for this model year number 23 and spread thinly across the van: four on the electrical system, three on the service brakes and three on the body structure, with the remainder scattered further. Electrical trouble of that kind is chased circuit by circuit, and this manual carries the wiring diagrams, connector locations and diagnostic charts for that work. The brake content covers hydraulic service and bleeding with its torque values, and the body section handles panel, door and sealing repairs with the specifications they call for.
