The first covers the gasoline fuel delivery hoses and lines: on certain pickup trucks a flange at the rear end of the double cab body deformed during side impact testing and interfered with the fuel inlet hose, and that damage could result in fuel leakage, which could result in a fire. The second covers the front suspension lower control arm ball joint, where a manufacturing issue may have left the surface of the ball scratched; the lower ball joint may separate from the knuckle, causing loss of steering control. Owners have filed 443 complaints for this model year and Toyota has issued 78 technical service bulletins.
