2001 Chevrolet Express 1500 Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 2001 Chevrolet Express 1500 covers three trim levels, Base, LS and LT, across three-door cargo and passenger bodies, with three overhead-valve gasoline engines to choose among: the 5.7L V8 of 350 cubic inches, the 5.0L V8 of 305 and the 4.3L V6 of 262, all naturally aspirated. More equipment means more circuits, so the wiring diagrams and body electrical sections carry real weight here, beside the engine, transmission and chassis specifications.

Known issues on the 2001 Express 1500. One recall is recorded for this model year, covering replacement oil filters whose sealing may fail and allow engine oil to escape, with a fire risk where that oil meets hot engine parts. Only five owner complaints exist, among them one each on tires, exterior lighting and the seats, which is far too few to describe a pattern. The manual answers those areas directly all the same, with wheel and tire specifications, lamp circuits drawn out in the wiring diagrams, and seat mounting and adjuster procedures given with their torque values.
