Known issues on the 2000 Express 1500. A single recall appears on the federal record here, and it reaches a service part rather than the van: certain replacement oil filters can seal inadequately, and the oil loss that follows can lead to a fire if it reaches hot engine surfaces. Six owner complaints are recorded, split evenly between the electrical system, the seats and the body structure at two each. Circuit diagrams, seat and anchorage procedures and body panel work are all documented, along with the lubrication specifications that make an oil leak easy to confirm or rule out.
