Known issues on the 1993 Lumina. Three recalls are on the federal record for this year. The most consequential is a seat fault: the front manual reclining mechanisms may fail to latch, so a seat back can drop rearward without warning while the car is being driven. The others cover replacement fuel pressure regulators built without a sealing ring and retainer, where escaping fuel can meet an ignition source, and aftermarket corner and bumper lamp assemblies lacking the required side reflectors, which reduces how well the car is seen from the side. Complaints number 317, led by 167 on service brakes, then 27 on the electrical system and 21 on seat belts.
