1992 Chevrolet C2500 Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 1992 Chevrolet C2500 has six engines in scope, among them a 5.7L V8 arranged to run on gasoline or compressed natural gas and a turbocharged 6.5L diesel sitting beside the naturally aspirated 6.2L. A 4.3L V6 and the 5.0L and 7.4L gasoline V8s complete the list. Standard cab, extended cab and cab-and-chassis bodies are covered across Base, Cheyenne, Scottsdale and Silverado, with the fuel-system material kept separate so alternative-fuel and turbodiesel procedures are not mixed with the rest.

Known issues on the 1992 C2500. Two recalls stand federally, both about seals on replacement filters: a fuel filter connection that can leak gasoline near an ignition source, and an oil filter that can lose engine oil while the engine runs, either one able to start a fire. Owners logged fourteen complaints, led by visibility with five, then tires with three and service brakes with two. Wiper and washer circuits, glass and body hardware, wheel and hub service, and hydraulic brake overhaul each carry procedures, specifications and torque values here.
