1987 Ford F-350 Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual for the 1987 Ford F-350 covers Base, Custom, XL and XLT Lariat trucks in standard cab, crew cab and cab and chassis form. Under the hood it accounts for five engines: the 4.9L inline-six on gasoline, the 5.0L, 5.8L and 7.5L overhead-valve V8s, and the 6.9L diesel V8. Known issues on the 1987 F-350. Two recalls appear on the federal record. The first repeats the spring lock fuel line coupling that could disengage under pressure and vibration and let fuel escape. The second concerns steering and suspension that might not damp a front end wobble, where severe shimmy could damage the frame or the steering gear and cost the driver control. Eight complaints have been filed with NHTSA, mostly about tires, with single entries on suspension and service brakes.
