Known issues on the 1997 F-350. Four recalls are on federal record, and two of them concern tires: a replacement campaign for Firestone Wilderness AT tires, and a run of trucks whose tires were cut in the bead area during mounting, risking sudden air loss and a loss of control. A third concerns a missing retainer clip between the master cylinder push rod and the brake pedal arm, which could cost the driver service braking. Owners have filed 163 complaints with NHTSA, spread across tires, service brakes and the engine and cooling system.
