Known issues on the 1996 F-350. Four recalls are listed on the federal record. One concerns crossmember frame gussets fitted with undersized fasteners at the attachment point for the mid-ship fuel tank rear strap, which could separate and leave the tank loose. Another concerns certification labels printed with the wrong rear tire inflation pressures, enough to wear the rear tires early. The speed control deactivation switch and a set of aftermarket lamps make up the rest. Owners have filed 151 complaints with NHTSA, gathered mainly around tires, service brakes and the engine and cooling system.
