Known issues on the 1984 F-350. Three recalls sit on the federal record. One concerns a carburetor secondary throttle shaft that could become contaminated and stick partly open while driving, leaving the truck faster than intended. A second concerns front engine mount bolts of the wrong size that could loosen and let the engine come off its mounts. The third concerns a diesel water separator canister that could be punctured in a crash. Two complaints have been filed with NHTSA, one on tires and one on the electrical system. Fueling, engine mounting and wiring are all covered by the procedures and torque specifications here.
