1983 Chevrolet G20 Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual for the 1983 Chevrolet G20 spans four overhead-valve engines, from the 4.1L inline-six of 250 cubic inches through the 5.0L and 5.7L gasoline V8s to a 6.2L diesel V8 of 379 cubic inches, none of them force-fed. Known issues on the 1983 G20. Three recalls stand on the federal record here. One covers replacement oil filters that do not seal, allowing the engine to shed its oil and, near a hot surface, to catch fire. A second concerns front safety belt anchorages that leave occupants without proper restraint in a crash or sudden stop. The third involves platform trailer hitches built from steel that will not carry normal towing stress. Owners have logged a single complaint, against the suspension.
