2026 Ford Transit Service and Repair Manual

Two powertrain changes define the 2026 Transit: the naturally aspirated 3.5L PFDi V6 lost its flex-fuel capability and now runs on gasoline only, and the twin-turbocharged 3.5L EcoBoost V6 became a stand-alone option on rear-drive low- and medium-roof cargo vans instead of requiring the ambulance prep package. Known issues on the 2026 Transit. One recall is on federal record for this model year: the wireless seat belt reminder system in the rear seat belt buckles may malfunction and fail to show a change in buckle status, so occupants may not be alerted to an unfastened belt.
