2018 Ford Transit Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 2018 Transit. Eight recalls are on federal record for the 2018 Transit, all involving equipment added by outside upfitters. Six concern Freedman GO-ES foldaway seats whose back cushion may not lock after being raised from the stowed position, letting the seat back move in a crash. One covers tempered glass roof hatches that can shatter and drop fragments on passengers, and one an aftermarket hybrid conversion whose front driveshaft joint can fail. Owners have filed 57 complaints with NHTSA: 12 on the power train, eight on the structure and seven on the electrical system.
