Known issues on the 2014 Transit. Three recalls are on federal record for the 2014 Transit, all tied to vans modified by outside upfitters. Two concern Freedman GO-ES foldaway seats whose back cushion may not lock in place after being rotated from the stowed position, letting the seat back move in a crash. The third covers wheelchair lifts whose positioning input cam can fail and stop the platform above floor level, tipping the user toward the van on exit.
