Known issues on the 2023 Q7. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the driver's seat side air bag, which may have been improperly mounted to the seatback frame; an improperly mounted air bag may not restrain an occupant as intended, increasing the risk of injury during a crash. The second covers the front passenger occupant classification sensor, where a loosening electrical connection can deactivate the front passenger air bag; a deactivated front passenger air bag will not deploy during a crash, increasing the risk of injury. The third covers the backup camera, where a software error may prevent the rearview camera image from displaying as intended; a rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
