Known issues on the 2012 Q7. Four recalls are on federal record for this model year. Two trace back to the same fuel pump flange: it can crack or leak past its butyl tape repair, and a fuel leak near an ignition source raises the risk of a fire. A third recall covers the fuel injection system, where a leak in the injection lines carries the same fire risk. A fourth recall addresses the certification label, which lists an incorrect Gross Axle Weight Rating and can allow the vehicle to be overloaded, raising crash risk. Owners have filed 29 complaints for the year, and no technical service bulletins are logged. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.
From tracing a fuel pump flange leak to verifying axle weight ratings or servicing either the supercharged gas or turbocharged diesel V6, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for your specific 2012 Q7.
