Known issues on the 2020 Q7. Five recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers C-pillar padding that may not sufficiently absorb impact, raising injury risk to an unbelted occupant's head in a crash. The second covers the air bag control module, which can deploy the second stage of the front passenger air bag too quickly when a child occupies the seat, increasing injury risk. The third covers the fuel pump, where an internal component can break and cause the pump to fail, leading to an engine stall. The fourth covers the front camera's heating element, which can overheat due to a software incompatibility, increasing fire risk. The fifth covers a software error that can prevent the rearview camera image from displaying, reducing the driver's view behind the vehicle. Owners have filed 26 complaints for the year and no technical service bulletins are logged.
From a fuel pump diagnosis to a front camera or air bag control module inspection, the OEM procedures and specifications for each of those systems are covered for your specific 2020 Q7.
